THE BIG 2-0

(I'm gluten intolerant, but lets pretend this was my birthday cake ya?)

I turned twenty today....
Holy Hannah where has the time gone??
I am no longer a teenager and have officially entered into the years everyone references for the rest of their lives!

I've been reflecting on the last year now that I am one year wiser, and I decided that 19 was a pretty darn good year.

This year I...

Learned how to cook a decent meal.

Saw my main girls T-Swift and Queen B in concert!

Both Life changing really

Rode lots and lots of horses and let the country out of this city girl.

I was taught how lucky I am to one day get to be a mother from one of my favorite people ever.
She also filled me with comfort and advice during one of the hardest summers of my life and showed me what it means to be a true friend.

I said goodbye to my best friend since pre-school for 18 whole months! Writing her and Sav and Lizzie and Ash has become one of the biggest blessings for me. Their decision to serve the Lord has encouraged my testimony and faith to grow right along with theirs.

Laughed until I nearly wet my pants...

Thanked Heaven every day that I was born into the most wonderful family!.

Watched my big brother make the best decision of his life...

Saw my sweet babies grow way too fast!

Had the best roommates anyone could ever ask for!

Managed to live gluten free amidst the provo dating scene

Supported my best friend as she survived a Typhoon in the Philippines, and gained comfort in her resilience and desire to continue serving.

Spelled FHE with my bod

Stressed over college classes

Fell in love with my dreams all over again

Froze my fanny off in -15 degree windchill

Got my wisdom teeth out

Spent some time dancing in LA with some of my favorite people

Made a spontaneous trip to Moab

Supported my favorite Coug and bestie!!!

Discovered I have Lyme Disease

Soaked up that summer sun!

Said goodbye to my person...

Received countless wonderful Father's Blessings

Watched the first of my best friends get married

Was celebrated by amazing friends!

But more than anything.... I learned to

"To exercise faith is to trust that the Lord knows what He is doing with you and that He can accomplish it for your eternal good even though you cannot understand how He can possibly do it. We are like infants in our understanding of eternal matters and their impact on us here in mortality. Yet at times we act as if we knew it all. When you pass through trials for His purposes, as you trust Him, exercise faith in Him, He will help you. That support will generally come step by step, a portion at a time. While you are passing through each phase, the pain and difficulty that comes from being enlarged will continue. If all matters were immediately resolved at your first petition, you could not grow. Your Father in Heaven and His Beloved Son love you perfectly. They would not require you to experience a moment more of difficulty than is absolutely needed for your personal benefit or for that of those you love." Elder Richard G. Scott.

Yeah 19 was pretty good...
I have my suspicions that 20 will be even better!

I don't know how I got so lucky.
Even amidst one of the hardest years of my life,
The people that make life worth living have me thinking to myself...

What a wonderful world!

xoxo
